REFERRAL PROGRAM
Bring friends to the Rift and you’ll both walk away richer. QuantumRift’s Referral Program rewards you the instant a friend joins using your invite, and keeps paying out as you bring in more settlers — forever, through repeating “prestige” cycles.
There’s no slash command for any of this — everything lives in one place: the Referrals tab of your PDA.
Where to find it
Open your PDA and select the Referrals tab (short label REF). This works whether you’re using the newer cursor-driven menu or the classic chest-style menu — both show the same information and behave identically.
- Access requires the permission
quantumrift.referral.use, which is granted to everyone by default. If it’s ever revoked (an anti-abuse measure staff can apply to a specific account), the tab will simply say: “Referrals are not available on your account.”
Your invite code
The moment you first join the server, you’re automatically given a personal 4-character invite code (letters and numbers, e.g. a1b2). You don’t have to do anything to get one.
- Your code is shown uppercase in the PDA under YOUR CODE, though it’s matched case-insensitively — share it however is convenient.
- Anyone who wants to name you as their referrer can either:
- type your 4-character code, or
- type your username instead — this works even while you’re offline, as long as you’ve logged into the server at least once.
Setting your referrer
If you’re the new player, open the Referrals tab and look at the YOUR REFERER row. If it isn’t set yet, you’ll see two options:
- BY CODE — opens a chat prompt: “Type the 4-character referer code:”
- BY USERNAME — opens a chat prompt: “Type the referrer’s username:”
You have 30 seconds to type your answer in chat before the prompt automatically cancels.
This choice is permanent. Once your referrer is set, it can never be changed — the game will tell you so up front: “This is one-shot — it cannot be changed once set.” Choose carefully, and note that you can’t refer yourself.
Messages you might see
| Situation | Message |
|---|---|
| You already claimed a referrer | “You already have a referer.” |
| You tried to refer yourself | “You cannot refer yourself.” |
| Code doesn’t match anyone | “That referral code doesn’t match any player.” |
| Username hasn’t joined the server | “That username hasn’t joined the server yet.” |
| Bad code format | “Invalid input — codes are exactly 4 characters (a-z, 0-9).” |
| Server hiccup | “Database error — try again in a moment.” |
| Feature disabled for your account | “Referrals are not available on your account.” |
| Success | “Referer registered. +1 Imperial Tokens awarded to you and your referrer.” (plus a milestone note if your referrer just leveled up their ladder — see below) |
Instant reward for both of you
The second a referral is claimed, both you and your referrer instantly receive a small flat bonus of Imperial Tokens (currently 1 token each). This lands immediately and is completely separate from the milestone ladder below — think of it as the “thanks for connecting” bonus.
The milestone ladder (for the referrer)
This is where the real rewards are. As your referrer’s total invite count climbs, they unlock bigger and bigger rewards at fixed thresholds:
| Invites | Rewards |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 Imperial Token |
| 2 | 2 Imperial Tokens + 1 credit |
| 3 | 2 Imperial Tokens + 2 credits |
| 5 | 4 Imperial Tokens + 5 credits + 2× Diamond |
| 10 | 10 Imperial Tokens + 10 credits + 1× Netherite Ingot |
| 20 | 20 Imperial Tokens + 20 credits + 3× Netherite Ingot |
| 25 | 30 Imperial Tokens + 50 credits + the “Recruiter” tag |
| 50 | 100 Imperial Tokens + 200 credits + the exclusive “Vanguard Beacon” trail cosmetic |
A full run through the ladder (1 → 50 invites) pays out 169 Imperial Tokens on top of the credits and items — for context, playtime alone earns roughly 6 tokens/hour, and an Imperial rank costs 500 tokens, so referrals are one of the fastest free ways to stack up tokens.
Only the referrer earns ladder rewards — the invitee’s only guaranteed reward is the instant token bonus above.
Milestone 25: the “Recruiter” tag
Hitting 25 invites (in a cycle) grants the Recruiter nametag/title:
- Display: “✉ Recruiter ✉” (light blue)
- Description: “Brought twenty-five settlers to the rift.”
- Source note: “Granted at the 25-invite referral milestone.”
This is a cosmetic tag from the Tags system, not a visual trail effect.
Milestone 50: the exclusive “Vanguard Beacon” trail
Reaching 50 invites unlocks the single most exclusive cosmetic in the game:
- Name: Trail — Vanguard Beacon (styled in gold/amber)
- Lore: “Awarded for bringing fifty settlers through the rift.” / “A slow crown of starlight circles every step you take.”
- Look: a Nether Star icon in your cosmetics list; in the world, a slow ring of END_ROD particles swirls around you as you walk.
- Price: not for sale — 0 tokens, reward-only.
What makes this one special: it’s excluded from the cosmetics shop, crate loot, and rotating cosmetic stock entirely. Out of every exclusive cosmetic in QuantumRift, this is the only one that isn’t tied to a paid rank tier (Legend or Imperial). It’s earned purely by referring 50 people — nothing else unlocks it. The moment you earn it, you can equip and use it right away — no extra setup needed.
Prestige cycles — the ladder repeats forever
The milestone ladder isn’t a one-and-done list. Once a referrer’s invite count for the current cycle reaches 50, the cycle resets and the same ladder fires again from 1 — but with bigger numbers.
- Each new cycle multiplies the ladder’s token/credit/item rewards by a scaling factor tied to how many cycles you’ve already completed. The multiplier grows gently: your very first pass (cycle 1) pays 1×, and it climbs modestly from there with each subsequent cycle — so grinding out invite after invite keeps getting more rewarding, just not by leaps and bounds.
- Tags and cosmetics (like Recruiter and Vanguard Beacon) aren’t duplicated on repeat cycles — you already own them after the first time, so later cycles just skip re-granting what you already have and continue paying out the token/credit/item portion.
- The in-PDA “HOW IT WORKS” explainer describes a simpler doubling curve than what’s actually live — don’t be surprised if the real numbers scale a bit more gently than the tooltip implies. Either way: yes, it truly repeats forever, and yes, it keeps paying out more.
What the Referrals tab shows you
Overview:
- YOUR CODE — your personal invite code
- YOUR REFERRALS — “N invited”
- YOUR REFERER — “not set” or “set” (with a checkmark once claimed)
- REWARDS section:
- REWARD LADDER — your current cycle number; opens the full milestone list
- HOW IT WORKS — a short explainer of the prestige system
Stats detail view:
- Total invited
- Current multiplier
- Progress this cycle (e.g. “7 / 50”)
- Who referred you, if applicable
Reward Ladder view: each milestone shows a lock icon (not yet reached) or a checkmark (already claimed this cycle). Tapping a milestone shows its exact reward list, already scaled to your current cycle’s multiplier — e.g. “100 Imperial Tokens”, “200.000 credits”, “Cosmetic: trail.referral_50”.
Offline delivery
- Tokens, credits, tags, and cosmetics land instantly, whether you’re online or not.
- Physical items (Diamonds, Netherite Ingots) are queued if you’re offline when a milestone fires, and delivered automatically to your inventory the next time you log in, with a chat message: “Delivered N pending referral reward(s).”
Fair play
The server keeps an eye out for suspicious clusters of invites coming from the same household or network, to discourage players from farming rewards with alt accounts. This runs quietly in the background — legitimate players never notice it, and nothing is held back unless staff manually step in on a flagged account.
